My last wedding of 2010 took place in Downtown Toronto at Mildred Temple Kitchen in Liberty Village. Jill and Terence put together a eclectic, vegan wedding together in a fun but sophisticated style.
We decided it would be a great idea to travel around Toronto and take some pictures at some of their favourite locations. Suspect video, Bellwoods Park, and a quick stop at the new Dufferin Street underpass at Queen West.
After our photo shoot, it was back to the Gladstone for some relaxing time before heading to Mildred Temple Kitchen for the Ceremony and Reception.
Of course, there are more images for your viewing pleasure ‘here‘!
Here at home with my son, and while he is sleeping, I am getting caught up with my posts on work I’ve done for Horntrip, over a cup of coffee, no less, reminds me of my reoccurring visits to many of the local establishments that serve up a mighty fine cup of coffee. I haven’t seen FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper in any of these places, but if he was in the area on a special investigation, I’m sure he’d be found savouring some of the beverages and tasty treats and eats that are available. Most of the cafés in the county insist and make a vocal point of serving fair trade coffees, locally produced ingredients, and of course all with the flair that Prince Edward County is known for. And maybe one might find a rare slice of cherry pie.
This week brings us the latest edition of the county arts magazine Square2. Featured in this issue are two photo shoots I conducted in conjunction with the editors of Square 2. One is an article on the musician Emily Fennell, and another on fashion designer and creator Koren Bellman.
I like Orange.
Like last year, we had a little fashion show type photo shoot at Kelly’s Shop. This year we ventured outside and did some photos in amongst the garden and, alas, the compost bins, haha. Nothing like some eco friendly backdrops. While the sun was hot, our models were hotter in the latest fashions available at Kelly’s shop on Main Street in Picton.

The folks at Books and Company have provided a window to display Kelly Roblin’s beautiful dress. Izzy has added various products available at Books and Company and some of my photos from her fabulous wedding that took place in June at Angeline’s in Bloomfield.

Teasers from The Regent photoshoot!
Be sure to come out Thursday night to the @Square2 Launch Party to see the rest. Click here for event details.
Had a fantastic time shooting in the Regent Theatre and working with all the great models! Please come out to the release party for the magazine and to view more images from the shoot.
This year, in addition to the change from the Visitor’s to the Insider’s guide, 20 additional pages were added at the beginning that describe some of the most spectacular aspects to PEC. I am proud to say that all of these pages beautifully display photos from Michael Grills Photography. I was so happy when René Dick of Scout Design proposed this to me. Last year we had a couple of beautiful days touring the county and photographing our models at some well, and perhaps not so well known local destinations. I have to really thank him for helping to organize these shoots in regards to models, locations and props.

With all that the county has to offer, if you are a local resident, or planning on coming to visit, you must pick up a copy of the insiders guide.
Please click on the Scout Design link above to see a video of the opening pages of the 2010 Insider’s Guide.
Friday May 7th was Ladies night at One to One Fitness in support of their Ride to Conquer Cancer bike ride from Toronto to Niagara Falls. All the ladies were treated to a potluck buffet, various spa treatments and door prizes. I was on hand to capture candid images of the event and set up a backdrop for some more “staged” shots.

Thanks too all who attended for such an enjoyable and worth while evening.
Last Saturday, April 24th was the 6th annual Kids Cuts for Cancer, which took place at the Village Barber & Beauty Salon. There were 13 kids (and some grown-ups) that took part and donated their long hair to the Angel Hair for Kids. These ponytails are used to create wigs for children who have lost their own hair due to illness.
