Yesterday I had the photoshoot for the poster advertising this years Kids Cuts for Cancer. We had about 7 models perform for us this year. The theme this year is HAIR. Based on last years posters, I can’t wait to see what René Dick of Scout Design has in store for us. Click here to see some more images from the shoot. Thanks to all, but especially Karen Burris, owner of Village Barber & Beauty Salon in Wellington.

On Saturday April 24th, 2010, Karen Burris, owner of Village Barber & Beauty Salon is hosting the 6th Annual Kids Cuts for Cancer event at her salon. Volunteers with long, natural, un-treated hear are invited to donate their ponytails to the Angel Hair for Kids – a not-for-profit organization that provides human-hair wigs for children who have lost their own hair due to illness.
I will be there photographing the event.
Register in advance – 613-399-5434 – to receive gift bags with cool stuff donated from local merchants, including Kelly’s Store in Picton.

My little guy just started day care. He is quite easy going, but can have problems getting along with other little ones. Today was his second day, and while he tried to come back to his daddy, he was easily distracted and I was able to get out without him getting upset.

I am currently working on a poster for PECWA, the County Wine Association. Its a collection of most of the wines from our county. Don’t forget to pick up a bottle or two of some of the great wines that are coming out of Prince Edward County.

While I was photographing Jennifer Lester, she was recording me recording her. She put together a short little video of me whilst at work. One can view it here on her website. Jennifer was a blast to work with and look forward to meeting with her to go over the images. Oh, and thanks to René Dick of Scout Design
